Gibson Adam Jones Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar in Antique Silverburst is an electric guitar.

Description

Adam Jones is one of the most influential and sonically-innovative guitar players of the last 30 years. Transforming the alternative metal scene with his Grammy Award-winning band Tool, Jones’ percussive drop-tuned riffs are instantly recognisable – fusing dissonance, fast hammer-ons and complex harmonic passages with regular flashes of aggressive, distorted onslaught.

The Illinois-born rocker has been synonymous with Gibson Les Paul Custom guitars throughout his career – specifically Silverburst-finished examples – with his number one being a battle-worn ’79 model. Gibson’s Custom Shop team has produced extremely-limited and detailed replicas of the original in the past, but now, their USA division has unveiled a more accessible Adam Jones Les Paul Standard signature model that die-hard fans are sure to love!

Key Features

  • Mahogany Construction — This timeless tonewood (used for the body/neck) yields the thick and sustain-rich sound synonymous with Gibson guitars.
  • Non-Weight Relieved Body — Gives the instrument a substantial feel and captures that iconic “vintage” sound.
  • Bound Maple Top — Adds bright complexities into the tonal mix, enhancing top-end bite and improving note clarity.
  • 70s Rounded Neck — Old-school profile akin to the neck shape on Adam Jones’ favourite ’79 Les Paul Custom.
  • Ebony Fingerboard — Dark and silky material, featuring a comfortable 12″ radius and 22 frets.
  • Medium Jumbo Frets — Offer a controllable feel for wide vibrato and pitch-perfect string bends.
  • Potent Gibson Pickup Pairing — A chrome-covered BurstBucker in the neck position offers a creamy yet clear tone, ideal for smooth leads and balanced cleans. The uncovered DC High-Gain humbucker in the bridge is extremely powerful and punchy; made for metal!
  • Tune-O-Matic Bridge — Legendary Gibson design; easily-adjustable and maximises string vibration transference through the body.
  • Grover Rotomatic Tuners — High-quality design allows for precise pitching and ensures years of reliable use; featuring contemporary-style buttons.
  • Graph Tech Nut — Low-friction material minimises unwanted tuning slips and enhances sustain.
  • Unique Adam Jones Artwork — Custom Adam Jones artwork features on the back of the headstock, along with his signature on the truss rod cover.
  • Included Modern Hardshell Case — Sleek and robust case perfectly protects the Adam Jones Les Paul Standard from harm.
