EastCoast ST2 Electric Guitar

The EastCoast ST2 is a fantastic starter electric guitar as it’s a excellent all-rounder. It follows the iconic S-type design (that’ll never go out of style!), and is flexible enough for any genre of music thanks to its HSS pickup configuration (humbucker/single-coil/single-coil) that gives you access to a wide variety of different sounds. It’s also super-comfy to play, making it ideal for beginners who want to feel inspired every time they pick up and play!

Key Features

  • Lightweight Design — The EastCoast ST2 has a body made from Poplar, which not only provides a tight and balanced sound, but it’s also light. This makes the ST2 great for young aspiring players who want to practice in a standing position without feeling excessive strain on their shoulders.
  • Comfortable Neck — The ST2’s neck is finished in a smooth satin coating and is made from Maple, which gives the instrument a bright and “snappy” sound. It comes fitted with modern-sized frets too, which make it easy to fret notes cleanly and accurately.
  • Versatile Sound — Pickups are the magnetic parts of the guitar that take the vibrations of the strings and direct their sound into an amp. The EastCoast ST2 features a humbucker and two single-coil pickups, which produce a mix of thick, powerful and crystal-clear tones suitable for almost any style you can throw at it!
  • Tremolo Bridge — Last but not least, the ST2’s tremolo bridge allows you to use a ‘whammy bar’ to manipulate the pitch of the strings. This lets you create some really cool effects!

Included Accessories

  • 10W Practice Amp — Compact electric guitar amp with clean and overdrive modes, ideal for playing at home.
  • Tuner — One of the most important tools in your arsenal! Tune on the go with this handy clip-on tuner, featuring a bright display.
  • Guitar Cable — Rugged design with extra-tough metal jack connectors; perfect for practice and performance.
  • 6 Medium Picks — You can never have too many plectrums! These picks are great for any style and suitable for beginners. Please note that the colour of your picks may vary!
  • Guitar Strap – A strong and easily-adjustable nylon strap for setting the perfect instrument height.

Please Note: The amp included with this starter pack relies on UK/EU mains voltage and comes with a fixed UK mains lead (not suitable for the USA).

More info about this Product

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Guitar

Explore electric, acoustic and bass guitars across a wide range of playing styles, body shapes and specifications. The most useful differences include scale length, construction, pickup type, neck profile, materials and whether the instrument is intended for amplified, acoustic or hybrid use. Use the narrower guitar categories and feature tags to compare instruments with similar designs rather than relying on appearance alone.

10W

Products with the 10W tag have an amplifier or power stage whose stated output is 10 watts. Wattage alone does not determine perceived loudness, clean headroom or suitability for a room: speaker efficiency, impedance, cabinet design, amplifier type and how the power is measured also matter. Compare the complete specification and intended practice, recording or performance use.

Left Handed

Left-handed guitars are built specifically for left-handed players, with the body shape, controls, and string orientation reversed to provide a natural and comfortable playing experience. Available across electric, acoustic, classical, and bass styles, they offer the same variety of tones, features, and build quality as right-handed models. Using a properly designed left-handed guitar helps with balance, technique, and confidence, allowing players to focus on developing their sound without having to adapt to an instrument that doesn’t suit the way they play.
