The EVH 5150 Iconic 40w 112 combo is an amp with Thor levels of thunderous tube power. Despite its affordable price point nothing has been sacrificed tonally. The all-tube design consists of a set of world class JJ valves – two 6L6s in the power amp and two ECC83Ss in the preamp. The custom-designed 12″ Celestion speaker offers superb articulation and it has been specially designed to handle the distinctive voicing of this amp. Youll be able to slice through the mix especially when you engage the footswitch-able 10dB boost function. Carve out your sound. This slick amp boasts a wide range of tone-shaping controls to help you get the best sonic results. There are two channels for you to play with each with their own Gain and Volume dials for perfect volume matching. One is for crunch the other for high gain saturated mayhem. Then youve got the regular three-band EQ for shaping each frequency to perfection. On top of this theres Reverb Resonance Presence and Noise Gate controls for adding extra flair and control to your tone. Its time to check into rehab because this amp is just far too addictive.
