Description

The Gibson Songwriter Recording Artist Rosewood Burst is a modern square-shoulder dreadnought that blends historic Gibson design with contemporary performance. Introduced in the late 1990s the Songwriter draws on the tonal heritage of Gibsons 1930s scalloped Advanced X-bracing and long 25.5″ scale length delivering impressive projection clarity and dynamic headroom. Finished in Rosewood Burst it pairs striking visual depth with a refined professional voice suited to studio sessions live performance and songwriting environments where balance and articulation truly matter. Handcrafted in Bozeman Montana it features a thermally aged Sitka spruce top matched with rosewood back and sides for a powerful yet balanced response with rich overtone detail and excellent sustain. The mahogany neck has a comfortable Round profile and is fitted with a bound ebony fretboard adorned with mother-of-pearl diamond eye inlays. Equipped with the L.R. Baggs HiFi system with soundhole-mounted controls it offers outstanding plugged-in performance while preserving its natural acoustic character and dynamic nuance across varied musical styles.
