The Taylor 818e Grand Orchestra is a big-bodied acoustic built for power and nuance. Its all-solid Indian rosewood back and sides with a Sitka spruce top serve up warm lows crisp trebles and lush blooming overtones while V-Class bracing adds extra volume longer sustain and improved intonation. Despite the jumbo footprint its impressively touch sensitive responding to a light pick or soft fingerstyle with ease. Finished with an Antique Blonde top paua shell single-ring rosette and Mission inlays it looks every bit as classy as it sounds. On stage or in the studio ES2 electronics keep things feeling natural and dynamic so what you hear acoustically translates cleanly when plugged in. A tropical mahogany neck with West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard delivers smooth playability across the board and the 25-1/2″ scale keeps strumming punchy and leads singing. It ships in a deluxe hardshell case with a Western Floral pattern making it a road-ready heirloom-quality instrument straight out of the box.
