The Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble takes the much-loved 50s Standard platform and adds a subtle authentically aged look thanks to its Vintage Bourbon Burst Gloss finish. Each top is hand-sprayed resulting in unique burst patterns and a lightly faded nitrocellulose lacquer that reflects the gentle ageing seen on prized late-50s instruments. A non-weight-relieved mahogany body and carved AA figured maple cap deliver the depth resonance and sustain that define classic Les Paul tone. Uncovered Burstbucker 1 and Burstbucker 2 humbuckers each fitted with Double Classic White bobbins and Alnico 2 magnets offer smooth highs warm mids and a vintage-voiced response with plenty of character. The rounded 50s Vintage-profile mahogany neck feels solid and familiar complemented by a rosewood fretboard trapezoid inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets. Nickel hardware an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge aluminium Stop Bar tailpiece Vintage Deluxe tuners and aged gold Top Hat knobs complete the period-correct aesthetic. With a limited run of just 500 guitars per finish the Double Trouble provides a rare chance to enjoy a uniquely styled take on one of Gibsons most iconic designs.
