Built by the Gibson Custom Shop using detailed scans and studies of original vintage examples it captures the look feel and tone of the legendary 59 ES-335. The laminated maple and poplar body paired with a solid maple centre block delivers the warm resonance and sustain that made the ES-335 a favourite. Finished in Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged nitrocellulose lacquer it recreates the subtle wear and character of a well-preserved vintage instrument. A solid mahogany neck with a Medium C profile offers a comfortable period-correct playing feel while the rosewood fingerboard provides smooth playability. A pair of Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups deliver authentic late 50s PAF-style tones ranging from rich articulate cleans to singing overdrive. Vintage-inspired components such as the ABR-1 bridge aluminium stop bar tailpiece and Kluson tuners complete the historic specification.
