Description

Meet the Bad Cat Mod Shop Hot Cat 50 — rewired, re-voiced and ready to roar! But this isn’t just an update, it’s a full-blown evolution. Packing a mighty 50 watts of blooming, punchy power, the Hot Cat 50 is bigger, bolder and more flexible than anything else in its class. Hit that first chord and you’ll know: more openness, richer harmonics and a silky-smooth response across every control.

More power, punch, bloom & soul

Bad Cat’s opened up the midrange, expanded the tone stack and rebuilt the presence circuit for purr-fect musicality. The clean channel now shimmers and breathes. And when you flick it into High mode, you’ll get that glorious cranked-AC/pushed-JTM vibe players have been chasing for decades.

Switch to the drive channel and things get seriously wild. The Hot Cat 50 transforms into a fire-breathing high-gain monster with amazing clarity and note separation. Gain Low nails that classic ‘80s British crunch, while Gain High adds an extra tube gain stage for a tight, punchy modern sound with vintage soul.

One amp, four versatile voices

  • Clean Low: A big, glassy American clean.
  • Clean High: Cranked AC/JTM-style breakup and bite.
  • Gain Low: British rock crunch with incredible touch sensitivity.
  • Gain High: Refined high-gain aggression with Bad Cat’s signature clarity.

Key Features

  • Two channels (Clean & OD): From shimmering cleans to ferocious overdrive. Switch between them and you’ll feel like you’ve got two amps in one.
  • Dual modes (Lo & Hi): Each channel has its own personality twist. Low mode keeps things sweet and dynamic, while High mode cranks up the attitude for that extra bite and roar.
  • Studio-quality reverb: Lush, spacious and dripping with character. It’s the kind of ambience that makes every note sing.
  • Buffered FX loop: Your pedals will love this. It’s a high-quality, transparent loop that keeps your tone intact no matter how crazy your board gets.
  • Line out: Perfect for recording or going straight to front-of-house. The sound guy will love you!
  • Included amp cover: This shields your Hot Cat from dust, scratches and the occasional studio mishap.
