The Spira Guitars J-400 Baritone MBK is built for players pushing into lower tunings who need clarity and control. Finished in Satin Black it combines a stripped-back modern aesthetic with a design focused on performance. The roasted poplar body delivers a balanced tonal foundation with tight low end and clear top-end response making it well suited to heavier styles progressive playing and extended-range riffing. Its offset shape also helps keep the feel comfortable and familiar even with the longer scale length. The extended 27 inch scale length increases string tension keeping notes defined and articulate when tuned down. A Canadian roasted maple neck shaped to a Modern D profile pairs with a high-grade Ebony Tech fretboard offering a fast smooth surface for technical playing. The 14 inch radius and 24 jumbo frets make wide bends and fast runs feel controlled and consistent. Equipped with Spiras Villain humbuckers the J-400 Baritone delivers high-output tones with tight lows punchy mids and clear highs backed up by stable hardware and a straightforward control setup.
