The Fortin Kali Pre-Amp Distortion is a high-gain preamp and distortion pedal designed to capture the legendary sound and feel of heavily modified British amplifiers. Inspired by the iconic Jose Arredondo-style amp mods that helped define the famous “Brown Sound” the Kali delivers everything from vintage Plexi-style crunch to brutally saturated modern high-gain aggression. Developed from the acclaimed Fortin Cali amplifier platform the Kali combines classic British amp character with modern Fortin precision creating an exceptionally versatile “Modified Marshall in a Box” pedal. The Kali features dual gain stages independent bright switches and three distinct gain modes that dramatically alter the pedals response and character. VINT mode delivers classic Plexi-inspired compression and sparkle RAW mode offers a more direct and open response while SAT mode introduces Fortins signature saturated compression and sustain for crushing modern lead and rhythm tones. Built in the USA using premium-grade components and relay-based true bypass switching the Fortin Kali combines professional reliability with exceptional tonal flexibility for modern high-gain rigs.
