The Gibson Custom Explorer in Custom Gloss Ebony is a bold reimagining of one of Gibsons most iconic shapes. Built by the Gibson Custom Shop it represents the pinnacle of craftsmanship authenticity and tone. With its angular Explorer body carved from solid mahogany and finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer this model delivers commanding presence both visually and sonically. The upscale Custom aesthetic brings multi-ply binding gold hardware and refined pearl appointments to a design that has always stood apart. At the heart of this Custom shop Explorer a 490R neck and 498T bridge humbucker pairing provide the unmistakable Gibson voice balancing warmth punch and high-output bite. The solid ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl block inlays adds snap and articulation while the long tenon neck joint enhances sustain and resonance. Complete with Grover Kidney tuners a Tune-O-Matic bridge and Custom Shop hardshell case this Explorer blends heritage attitude with elevated precision.
