As with other instruments in the Fender Custom Shop Vintage Custom lineup, this Strat authentically represents a pivotal year in Fender’s history and offers an instrument that showcases some less-common features found on rarer, highly collectable examples. This ’59 Strat features a 9.5” fingerboard, which is a feature that has been found on some very rare examples of pre-CBS Fenders. Its Hand-wound ’59 neck and middle pickups help provide the ultimate glassy Strat tones, which is perfectly complemented by its more powerful Fat ‘60s bridge pickup. Its Flash Coat Nitro finish allows for even more sustain and resonance, and other standout vintage-accurate features include its clay fingerboard dots and 8 Hole pickguard. ‘60s C Oval Shape Neck The neck that can do everything! Not too thin and not too fat, just right no matter what style of playing you want to play that day. The neck is big enough that you can still wrap your thumb over and feel the whole guitar shake as you strum the strings as hard as you can yet still thin enough that you can effortlessly shred up and down the neck.
