Description

The Jackson limited edition Legend Series Randy Rhoads CD1 brings back a seriously cool Rhoads V that was previously reserved for Custom Shop builds. Dressed in a classy ivory finish with black pinstripes, vintage-style gold hardware and the stealthy black headstock, it’s a real head-turner that captures the spirit of a true Jackson classic. The iconic “Concorde” guitar One glance at the CD1 and it’s clear this isn’t your average Rhoads. It features the original shark-fin-inspired prototype shape that Randy sketched with Jackson in 1980, later nicknamed the “Concorde” after the famous supersonic airliner. While the slimmer Rhoads shape we know today would eventually become the standard, this original design is every bit as iconic, having been used extensively by Randy on stage with Ozzy Osbourne during the early years of his career. Built for crazy-fast playing The Legend Series Randy Rhoads CD1 pairs an Alder body with a through-body three-piece Maple neck reinforced with graphite rods for added stability. The bound Ebony fingerboard sports 22 jumbo frets, pearloid block inlays and Jackson’s famously comfortable 12″-16″ compound radius, making everything from chunky riffs to lightning-fast solos feel effortless. Classic Duncan firepower A Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and ’59 in the neck deliver a tried-and-tested pickup combination that’s super versatile. Expect punchy cleans, rich lead tones and plenty of high-gain aggression when you need it. With independent volume and tone controls, plus a three-way toggle switch uniquely placed on the upper side of the body near the neck joint, you’ve got all the tools needed to dial in your perfect sound.Key Features Neck-through construction: The 3-piece Maple neck-through design with Alder body wings provides masses of sustain and a sleek feel. 12″ to 16″ compound radius fingerboard: Slightly rounder at the nut for comfortable chord work, it gradually flattens out higher up the neck to accommodate fast runs, wide bends and precise lead playing. 22 jumbo frets: Built for speed and effortless playability, making string bends feel smooth and giving technical passages plenty of room to breathe. Seymour Duncan pickups: The JB bridge pickup delivers powerful punch, tight low-end response and cutting mids. It’s paired with a vintage-voiced ’59 SH-1N neck humbucker for warm cleans and fluid lead tones. 6-saddle vintage synchronised tremolo: A vintage-correct tremolo system that provides smooth pitch control and loads of mojo! Jackson locking tuners: String changes are quick and hassle-free, while the locking design helps improve tuning stability during aggressive bends and tremolo use. Included custom Foam Core case: Whether you’re heading to rehearsals, recording sessions or gigs, the included custom Foam Core case keeps this limited-edition guitar protected every step of the way.
