Description

Reimagining a fan favourite in the D’Angelico lineup, the Premier Mini DC is a minimalistic powerhouse designed with the travelling player in mind. The Premier Mini DC is a fourteen-inch-wide double cutaway semi-hollow featuring the all-new Supro Bolt Buckers—a custom set of pickups that provide powerful vintage-inspired tones and a seemingly endless sweet spot. The neck pickup is warm and woolly while the bridge pickup provides snap that steers clear of harshness.

The Mini DC undersized body provides a remarkably comfortable playing experience while a refined Throwback Scroll-Style headstock equipped with custom Vintage Deluxe tuners from Grover strike excellent head to body balance. With plenty of sustain and a singing midrange, the Mini DC was born for the stage.

Key Features

  • New Supro Pickups – Supro’s take on the most sought-after P.A.F. Humbuckers, Bolt Buckers provide bold, vintage-inspired clarity. Warm and balanced yet offering growling tones, Bolt Buckers are infused with old-school Supro attitude, utilizing an Alnico 2 magnet in the neck and Alnico 5 in the bridge to create the perfect pair.
  • Ebony Fretboard – A 12-inch fingerboard radius and medium jumbo fretwire on an Ebony fingerboard make for effortless playability. Paired with a C-shape neck with extra thickness in the shoulder for snug hand-fit and added sustain.
  • Grover Tuners – Custom tuners from Grover offer a 15:1 gear ratio, providing precise tuning and contributing to a lightweight headstock. A satin nickel finish and cream buttons offer vintage-inspired minimalism, while an undersized Throwback headstock with 5-ply binding offers an understated alternative to the typically ornate D’Angelico aesthetic.
  • Vintage Charm – A 14-inch-wide semi-hollow with deep cutaways and a lightweight centerblock, the Mini DC is a highly wieldable, remarkably versatile semi-hollow offering both punch and nuance. No pickguard and 1930s-inspired diamond f-holes bring old-school charm.

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Burst

A burst finish refers to a guitar finish where the colour gradually fades from a darker outer edge to a lighter centre. This technique highlights the natural grain of the wood while giving the instrument depth and visual character, making each guitar look slightly different.

Common on both electric and acoustic guitars, burst finishes range from classic sunburst styles to modern colour variations. They are popular because they combine a traditional look with a visually striking appearance that complements the shape and craftsmanship of the guitar.
