Description

The Ibanez SR306EB 6-String Bass in Weathered Black is In stock available now for fast UK delivery online for £419 + Delivery. This excellent piece of kit is manufactured by Ibanez and in New condition and comes with a great warranty.

SR basses are the most easily recognised of the Ibanez bass range with their uniquely accessible double cutaway shape. The SR range offers a modern alternative to traditional bass design, and the 2018 range features models from beginner, entry-level instruments all the way up to pro-level basses. They've got lightweight bodies, smooth fast neck and perfectly matched electronics to give you a bass that'll perform under any circumstances!—-

The SR306EB is no exception to this winning formula. Part of the popular SR300E series, this highly functional instrument combines extended-range capabilities and sleek, modern looks with an affordable price tag!

Body & Neck

Ibanez have opted for mahogany for the SR306EB's body, delivering a healthy midrange emphasis and a lightweight feel. They've also appointed typically smooth curves for the design, making it an extremely ergonomic instrument to play.

As with much of the SR range, this instrument has a 5-piece neck comprised of maple and rosewood. This gives it extra resilience and stability, meaning that you won't need to worry about intonation or neck adjustment further down the line. The fretboard is also rosewood, ensuring smooth playability and adding a touch of extra warmth to the sustain.

Electronics & Hardware

For the SR306EB, Ibanez have employed their brand new PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups. These pickups use exposed stainless stell poles, providing high output and excellent sonic clarity. This is ideal for an extended-range bass, as it ensure that you have even resonance across all frequencies without any interference – the last thing you want is to lose that low 6th string in the mix.

You've also got a 3-band EQ at your disposal, so you've got full control over the advanced pickup choice. A 3-way power tap switch allows you to tweak your tone even further, offering split tones as well as full-bodied humbucking sounds, or a blend of both. Don't be fooled by the price tag; this is a wholly versatile instrument for the modern player!

As you might expect, you've got black hardware to complement this instrument's alluring looks, including the Accu-cast B126 bridge, which offers enhanced sustain and intonation.

About Ibanez

We have new and used Ibanez gear available on our website for fast direct delivery direct to you from across sellers in all areas of the USA & UK.

The Hoshino Gakki company began in 1908 as the musical instrument sales division of the Hoshino Shoten, a bookstore chain. Hoshino Gakki decided in 1935 to make Spanish-style acoustic guitars, at first using the “Ibanez Salvador” brand name in honor of Spanish luthier Salvador Ibáñez, and later simply “Ibanez”.

In the 1970s, the Nisshin Onpa company who owned the Maxon brand name, developed and began selling a series of effect pedals in Japan. Hoshino Gakki licensed these for sale using the name Ibanez outside Japan. These two companies eventually began doing less and less business together until Nisshin Onpa ceased manufacturing the TS-9 reissue for Hoshino Gakki in 2002.
