Some notes from our professional in-store teamModel: 1988 Martin J-40M Custom Acoustic. Condition: This guitar is in very good condition, considering it is a 38 year old instrument. There are only a few scratches and some slightly deeper scratches on the top, back and sides, but nothing too major. There are some signs of natural lacquer checking on the righ hand side of the top. There are a couple of small dings on the back and sides and one more noticable scratch on the top, lower bout, but otherwise this guitar is in great shape for its age. The fres are low but still have life in them and there is some minor fret ware to the frets 1 through 6 and also on fret 12, mainly on the treble side.
