Along with all of their other distortion and drive effects and not to mention the countless amps available on-board.

The Boss GT-1000 ushers in a new era of amp and effect processing for the Japanese company. They’ve always been at the forefront of all things guitar effects and their GT-1000 captures years of innovation, engineering and design into this uber-powerful pedalboard.

It’s got an ultra-fast DSP engine, 32-bit processing and a 96 kHz sampling rate. Essentially, what this means is that it’s got some powerful computer processors controlling the quality of the audio which means you get incredibly accurate and warm sounding guitar tones from the GT-100.

Version 3 Software Update Available

The new Version 3 software update for the GT-1000 includes a significant upgrade to their offering for bassists including:

  • Newly added bass support and enhanced performance functionality
  • Three new AIRD bass preamps: NATURAL BASS, X-DRIVE BASS, and SVT BASS
  • Nineteen newly added bass effects, including an MDP compressor, overdrives and distortions, touch wah, flanger, and more
  • New Manual and Pedalboard modes for direct-access control on individual stomp boxes to the original effects.
  • New types added to the onboard AIRD Output Select library, including 11 guitar types and 2 bass types

This also includes their version 2 upgrades which include the following:

  • Four new AIRD preamps: MATCH COMBO, BG COMBO, ORNG STACK, BGNR UB METAL
  • Three new OD/DS effects: CENTA OD, HM-2, METAL CORE
  • Three new Master Delay types: SPACE ECHO, TAPE ECHO PX, BIN DRUM ECHO

AIRD Amp Modelling Technology

The GT-1000 harnesses new in-house technology called AIRD (Augmented Impulse Response Dynamics) which takes their Tube Logic tech to a new level giving you the flexibility, performance and practical useability of the Waza, Blues Cube and Katana amps.

Tube amps loved by guitarists are highly musical and highly responsive with a harmonic quality often ignored by digital technology but the AIRD tech in the GT-1000 brings all the best parts of a tube amp together in their modelling sounds. This will obviously be heavily affected by the speaker system or poweramp that you run the GT-1000 into which is why the AIRD technology aims to make their tube amp models as flexible as possible so that they’ll sound good no matter what system you’re plugging into.

About Boss

We have new and used Boss gear available on our website for fast direct delivery direct to you from across sellers in all areas of the USA & UK.

Since 1973, BOSS has pioneered the development of unique and innovative products for musicians of all styles and skill levels. From class-leading effects pedals, multi-effects, and Loop Stations to guitar synthesizers, amplifiers, and more, our trailblazing designs include several world firsts and have forever changed the way people make music.

BOSS has its roots in MEG Electronics, a dedicated guitar effects R&D division founded within Roland Corporation in 1973. The company was recast with the now-famous BOSS name and logo and introduced to the public the following year. Along with products that carry the BOSS brand, the BOSS engineering team has been involved with developing key Roland-branded guitar products since the beginning.

This spirit of innovation continues today as BOSS forges ahead with the creation of original, progressive, and impactful gear. And with plenty more exciting developments on the horizon, we’re looking forward to another half-century of musical evolution.
