Description

The Blackstar Debut 50R 50W 1×12 combo amp is here to transform your sound. Its circuitry is completely analogue with a discrete MOSFET preamp – youll get that warm organic sound that makes riffs come alive. Its a sound thats similar to valve tone but without the insane weight! And with 50W of power youll be able to be loud with more than enough volume for the stage. However the built-in attenuator lets you dial this down to 5W for easy bedroom practice! Dial in your dream sound. This amp was designed to go really well with pedals. But you can get plenty of outstanding tones from it as it is. Aside from the valve-like circuitry theres also a responsive three-band EQ as well as a clean and overdrive channel for switching between rocking riffs and shimmering cleans. And with a button for changing between Plate and Hall reverb modes you can also add plenty of space to your music through two very different reverb types. Finally Blackstars unique much-loved ISF dial helps you select between British grit and American crunch. Perfect for beginners and experienced players alike!

Amps

Guitar amps cover everything needed to amplify, shape, and project your guitar sound, from small practice setups to full stage and studio rigs. In this category you’ll find combo amps, separate amp heads and speaker cabinets, covering valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, each offering a different feel and response. You’ll also see modelling and digital amps, built-in effects, footswitches, attenuation solutions, replacement speakers, valves, and essential accessories to keep an amp performing at its best. Whether you’re chasing pristine cleans, classic crunch, or modern high-gain tones, guitar amps and related gear are all about finding the right balance of power, tone, and control for the way you play.

Combo Amps

Combo amps combine an amplifier and speaker into a single, self-contained unit, making them a practical and popular choice for many players. They’re easy to transport, simple to set up, and available in a wide range of power ratings, from small practice amps to powerful stage-ready models. Combo amps come in valve, solid-state, hybrid, and digital designs, often with built-in effects and tone controls. Their all-in-one nature makes them ideal for home use, rehearsals, recording, and live performance where convenience and reliable tone matter.

1×12

1×12 refers to a speaker configuration with one 12-inch speaker, most commonly found in guitar amplifiers and speaker cabinets. It offers a balanced combination of clarity, low-end response, and projection, making it a versatile choice for both home use and live performance.

Compared to smaller speaker setups, a 1×12 delivers a fuller sound with more body, while remaining more compact and portable than larger multi-speaker cabinets. It is popular with players who want strong tone and punch without the weight and volume of a 2×12 or 4×12 setup.

50W

Products with the 50W tag have an amplifier or power stage whose stated output is 50 watts. Wattage alone does not determine perceived loudness, clean headroom or suitability for a room: speaker efficiency, impedance, cabinet design, amplifier type and how the power is measured also matter. Compare the complete specification and intended practice, recording or performance use.

Amp

An amp is an amplifier used to boost the signal from a guitar and shape its overall tone and volume. It plays a major role in how a guitar sounds, influencing everything from clean clarity to natural overdrive and distortion, and is a core part of any guitar setup for both practice and live performance.

Combo Amp

A combo amplifier combines the amp head and speaker cabinet into one convenient, self-contained unit, making it a favourite for players who want great tone without extra setup. Compact and portable, combos come in all sizes and power levels, from small practice amps to stage-ready tube beasts. They deliver everything from sparkling cleans to rich overdrive, often with built-in effects and tone-shaping controls. Perfect for rehearsals, recording, or gigs, a good combo amp gives you the full sound and feel of a complete rig in one easy-to-carry package.
