BOSS AW-3 DYNAMIC WAH

The AW3 is the most sophisticated autowah ever. Add some funk and some wow to your performance without so much as flexing your ankle. The AW3 boasts a number of wah tones that you will recognise from class records, a unique humaniser effect to emulate vowel sounds, an expression pedal input (for traditional control of the wah using your foot) and a bass guitar input, since Boss know that bassists love a bit of the funk as well!

As you probably know, Boss pedals have a reputation for being built like brick outhouses! You can be pretty sure that however much you drop it, kick it, throw it and jump on it, it will still come back for more punishment! These pedals constantly survive the rigors of rock ‘n’ roll touring, and that’s why they’re seen at the feet of top touring pros everywhere. Reliability really can be affordable to all, and Boss are so sure that their compact stomps will last that they cover them with a full five year warranty.

Here’s what Boss say about the AW3

The BOSS AW-3 Dynamic Wah pedal gives guitarists a wide range of classic auto-wah and dynamic wah effects, plus a new “Humanizer” effect which can simulate human vowel sounds. A Bass input provides a variety of funky wah sounds for bass guitar.

  • Compact pedal creates a variety of classic “wah” effects
  • Dynamic wah sounds provide variable effect based on picking strength
  • “Humanizer” effect creates human voice-type vowel sounds
  • Dedicated Bass input for processing bass guitar
  • EXP Pedal mode allows wah control via optional expression pedal
  • Tempo can be set for pedal control or at fixed rate via Manual mode
  • BOSS 5-year warranty

A Talking Pedal

The AW-3 Dynamic Wah is the first compact wah pedal to incorporate human voice-type sounds through a new Humanizer Mode. Of course, you can also choose from standard up-and-down wah effects, plus a Tempo Mode and resonant synth-like Sharp Mode.

Endless Possibilities

Choose from both fixed and auto wah settings using the Manual control or pedal for tempo input. By connecting an optional expression pedal, the AW-3 can also be used for Pedal Wah effects. A dedicated Bass input permits direct processing of bass guitars.

About Boss

We have new and used Boss gear available on our website for fast direct delivery direct to you from across sellers in all areas of the USA & UK.

Since 1973, BOSS has pioneered the development of unique and innovative products for musicians of all styles and skill levels. From class-leading effects pedals, multi-effects, and Loop Stations to guitar synthesizers, amplifiers, and more, our trailblazing designs include several world firsts and have forever changed the way people make music.

BOSS has its roots in MEG Electronics, a dedicated guitar effects R&D division founded within Roland Corporation in 1973. The company was recast with the now-famous BOSS name and logo and introduced to the public the following year. Along with products that carry the BOSS brand, the BOSS engineering team has been involved with developing key Roland-branded guitar products since the beginning.

This spirit of innovation continues today as BOSS forges ahead with the creation of original, progressive, and impactful gear. And with plenty more exciting developments on the horizon, we’re looking forward to another half-century of musical evolution.
