Cordoba Requinto 1/2 Size is an acoustic guitar.

Description

The Cordoba Requinto 1/2 Size is a compact nylon-string guitar suited to younger players travel practice and smaller hands. Built with a solid Western red cedar top and mahogany back and sides it produces a warm balanced tone with impressive depth for its reduced size. The traditional 5-fan bracing helps maintain the rich Spanish character associated with full-size classical guitars while the shorter 580mm scale length makes stretches and chord shapes more manageable.Handcrafted touches including an all-natural wood rosette Indian rosewood binding and pearl-button tuning machines give the Requinto a refined look without adding unnecessary weight. A lightweight polyurethane finish keeps the body responsive and the dual-action truss rod allows for easy neck adjustments as playing conditions change. Fitted with Savarez Cristal Corum high-tension strings the Requinto offers a comfortable feel and clear nylon-string response for practice lessons and casual playing at home.

Classical Guitars

Classical guitars use nylon strings and a wider neck to produce a warm, rounded tone with excellent clarity and touch sensitivity. They are traditionally associated with classical and flamenco music, but are also widely used in folk, jazz, and contemporary styles. The lower string tension makes them comfortable to play and well suited to fingerstyle techniques and expressive dynamics. Classical guitars offer an intimate, natural sound that encourages precision, control, and a close connection between the player and the instrument.

Acoustic Guitar

Classical

Classical guitars are nylon-string acoustic guitars designed for traditional classical and flamenco playing, with a wide neck and flat fingerboard that support precise fingerstyle technique. Their construction prioritises balance, clarity, and articulation rather than volume or aggressive attack.

They produce a warm, rounded tone with soft highs and a smooth, expressive response, making them well suited to classical, Latin, folk, and fingerstyle music. Classical guitars are typically played without a pick and are valued for their dynamic control, nuance, and natural acoustic character.
