Description

A truly beautiful guitar made in the revered Japan custom shop, this single cut Eclipse in a brilliant flamed maple Tiger Eye finish is a perfect blend of modern ornamentation draped over a classic shape, all the while packing a powerful, tried-and-tested sound and feel you only get in combination from the leading luthiers at ESP. Custom style and flair The flamed maple top is the real star of the show – a luxurious amber-to-orange sprayed with incredible finesse over AAA quality wood, outlined with a thick pinstripe binding. The rest of the construction consists of a mahogany body and neck, giving the guitar a solid weight and great resonance. Within a relatively sleek package, the attention to detail on the is exceptional. The hardware is finished in an understated black chrome, allowing the top to shine. The bold flag inlays pop in an ebony fretboard completing the modern twist on the vintage style. Bulletproof playing feel The Eclipse is a big and bold guitar, kitted out with a thin “U” neck profile shrinking the vintage baseball bat “U” down to a more manageable size. It’s flat at the rear and feels great paired with the XJ frets on top for a meaty and stable grip, also encouraging proper thumb placement for rapid runs. The Tonepros Tune-O-Matic bridge and Gotoh tailpiece offer a familiarlt stable feel for the picking hand, also providing the ease of finetuning intonation while working with the Gotoh locking tuners to provide outstanding tuning consistency and easy string replacement. Cutting Hetfield sound The Eclipse comes equipped with the high output EMG Het Set: humbuckers made to be pushed to the brink with gain while retaining the tight attack and clean low-end you’d hear live and on record from Metallica’s frontman. They’re modified version of the classic 60 and 81, meaner and fatter with the neck pickup containing individual ceramic poles and bobbins and a larger core than the 60, resulting in a fuller low-end. The bridge position swaps in steel pole pieces to replace the bar magnets, squeezing the low-end for the percussive slice suited to fast thrash riffing.Key Features Luxurious Tiger Eye finish over figured maple top EMG James Hetfield humbucker pickups providing the power and tight attack Thin “U” neck profile and 22 XJ jumbo frets making for an fast and exhilerating playing experience Ultra sleek and simple Tonepros Tune-O-Matic bridge and Gotoh tailpiece to finetune intonation and hold excellent tuning stability Gotoh locking tuners allowing for quick string changes Classic all-mahogany body and neck construction SpecificationsBody Body: Mahogany Top: Flamed Maple Colour: Tiger Eye Sunburst Case included Neck Neck: Mahogany Fingerboard: Ebony Neck profile: Thin U Fingerboard radius: 305 mm Scale: 629 mm (24.75″) Nut width: 42 mm Graphite nut 22 XJ frets Electronics and hardware Pickups: EMG Het Set (neck/bridge) Two volume and one tone control Toggle switch Tonepros locking Tune-O-Matic bridge and Gotoh tailpiece Gotoh locking machine heads Chrome hardware

They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.
