Created to celebrate two decades of ESP and Alexi Laiho working together, the ESP LTD Alexi Laiho Signature Sawtooth SE 20th Anniversary is a razor sharp V-style shred machine built for uncompromising metal performance. With its neck-thru construction, Floyd Rose tremolo and fast Thin U neck profile, it is designed to deliver searing leads, precise riffing and rock solid tuning stability on stage or in the studio.

The alder body and 3 piece maple neck provide a tight, focused response that keeps even the most extreme gain settings articulate and controlled. A single EMG HZ FH-2 bridge humbucker delivers the aggressive, high output tone Alexi was known for, while the scalloped upper frets and extra jumbo fretwire make wide bends, vibrato and fast legato lines feel effortless. Finished in a striking black with white pinstripes and fitted with chrome hardware, this is a fitting tribute to one of metal’s most influential guitarists.

Every detail of the Sawtooth SE is geared towards speed and precision. The 25.5 inch scale length and Macassar ebony fingerboard offer a familiar feel for modern players, while the 350 mm radius keeps things low and fast without fretting out. A locking nut, Grover tuners and Floyd Rose 1000 bridge work together to keep your tuning locked in, even under the most extreme divebombs and squeals.

Whether you are chasing Alexi’s iconic lead tone or simply want a no compromise metal guitar that will keep up with your technique, the LTD Alexi Laiho Sawtooth SE 20th Anniversary delivers the playability, tone and attitude to take your playing to the next level.

Fast Neck-Thru Construction

The neck-thru design of the Sawtooth SE gives you incredible upper fret access and a smooth, uninterrupted feel all the way up the neck. By running the 3 piece maple neck through the centre of the alder body, you also gain enhanced sustain and note clarity, ideal for long, singing leads and complex chord voicings under high gain.

Scalloped Upper Frets for Extreme Lead Work

With the fingerboard scalloped from frets 19 to 24, the Sawtooth SE makes wide bends, controlled vibrato and fast legato playing easier and more expressive. Removing wood between the frets reduces friction under your fingertips, so you can dig in harder without fighting the fingerboard, perfect for the kind of intense soloing Alexi was famous for.

Floyd Rose 1000 Tremolo and Locking Nut

A Floyd Rose 1000 double locking tremolo paired with a locking nut ensures rock solid tuning stability, even with extreme whammy bar abuse. Divebombs, flutters and squeals all return to pitch reliably, letting you focus on performance rather than constantly re tuning between songs.

High Output EMG HZ FH-2 Bridge Pickup

The passive EMG HZ FH-2 bridge humbucker delivers the tight, aggressive tone required for modern metal. Its high output voice cuts through dense mixes with ease, while still retaining enough clarity and definition for complex riffs and rapid alternate picking. With a simple single volume control, your sound stays direct, immediate and ready to roar.

More info about this Product

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Solid Body Electric Guitars

Solid body electric guitars are built from a solid piece or pieces of wood, giving them excellent sustain, stability, and resistance to feedback at higher volumes. This construction makes them well suited to amplified playing across a wide range of styles, from clean and articulate tones to heavy, high-gain sounds. Their design allows pickups and hardware to play a major role in shaping tone, while the solid body provides a consistent, reliable feel. Solid body electric guitars are valued for their durability, versatility, and ability to perform confidently on stage and in the studio.
