Description

The Furch Blue Series GC-TW Master’s Choice is a premium grand auditorium electro acoustic that distils Furch’s flagship ideas into one stage-ready instrument. With a torrefied Sitka spruce top, solid black walnut back and sides, individually voiced soundboards and LR Baggs HiFi electronics, it delivers a mature, open acoustic tone and a natural amplified sound that is ready for any performance. Designed as the master luthiers’ preferred specification within the Blue Series, this guitar combines advanced construction techniques with thoughtful ergonomics. The Bevel Duo armrest and rib bevel, Booster Soundport, and soft V neck profile make it exceptionally comfortable to play for long sessions, while the open-pore finish lets the woods resonate freely for a lively, responsive feel under the fingers. At its heart is a torrefied AA Sitka spruce top that has been carefully heat-treated to emulate decades of natural ageing. Paired with individually voiced top and back plates, the GC-TW Master’s Choice offers a rich, balanced sound with impressive projection and dynamic range, whether you are playing delicate fingerstyle or more percussive strumming. On stage or in the studio, the factory-fitted LR Baggs HiFi system captures the full character of the guitar with clarity and nuance. Two lightweight bridge-plate sensors translate every detail of your playing into a clear, musical signal that sits easily in a mix, giving you confidence whenever you plug in. Master’s Choice Flagship Specification The Blue Series GC-TW Master’s Choice represents Furch’s own ideal specification for this range, combining carefully selected tonewoods, advanced voicing, ergonomic enhancements and pro-grade electronics. It is built to be a complete, no-compromise instrument straight out of the box. Torrefied Sitka Spruce Top The torrefied AA Sitka spruce top is aged using Furch’s proprietary heat-treatment process, giving the guitar a warm, open and mature voice from day one. This enhances responsiveness and dynamic range, so the instrument feels played-in and expressive the moment you pick it up. Individually Voiced Top and Back Both the top and back soundboards are individually voiced to maximise their acoustic potential. This meticulous fine-tuning delivers excellent balance across the frequency range, strong projection and a wide dynamic response, allowing the unique character of each guitar to shine through. Comfortable Bevel Duo and Booster Soundport The Bevel Duo adds bevels to both the top and back edges of the body, easing contact points on your picking arm and ribcage for superior long-term comfort. The integrated Booster Soundport directs more of the guitar’s natural sound towards you, improving clarity and detail in your personal listening position without affecting the outward projection. Stage-Ready LR Baggs HiFi Electronics Factory-installed LR Baggs HiFi electronics use a pair of lightweight bridge-plate sensors to capture the guitar’s acoustic tone with impressive balance and definition. The result is a natural, dynamic amplified sound that responds faithfully to your touch, ideal for live performance and recording. Key Features Torrefied AA Sitka Spruce Top – The carefully heat-treated top offers the warmth and openness of a well-played vintage instrument, with enhanced responsiveness and dynamic range that rewards both light fingerstyle and more aggressive strumming. Individually Voiced Top and Back – Furch’s proprietary voicing process fine-tunes each soundboard for optimum resonance, giving you a guitar with exceptional balance, projection and nuance that feels uniquely alive in your hands. Bevel Duo and Booster Soundport – Dual body bevels and the integrated side soundport significantly improve playing comfort and on-stage monitoring, so you can play longer and hear more of your own tone without relying solely on foldback. Furch Guitars

Furch Guitars is represented by acoustic and electro-acoustic instruments from the Vintage, Blue and Travel ranges, including OM, dreadnought and Little Jane formats. The current listings therefore cover both conventional acoustic playing and compact or amplified use. Compare body shape, scale, tonewood and construction, pickup or preamp arrangement, travel features and included accessories. The model name matters: the individual listing should be checked for the exact woods, finish, electronics, case and condition rather than treating the whole range as one specification.

Acoustic Guitars

Acoustic guitars produce their sound naturally through the vibration of the strings and body, offering a direct and expressive playing experience. They come in a wide range of styles, including steel string and classical designs, each with its own feel and tonal character. Body shape, wood choice, and construction all influence warmth, projection, and balance, making acoustics suitable for everything from gentle fingerstyle to confident strumming. Whether used for songwriting, practice, or performance, acoustic guitars provide a simple, honest connection between the player and the music.

Electro-Acoustic Guitars

Electro-acoustic guitars combine the natural sound and feel of an acoustic guitar with built-in electronics for amplification. Fitted with pickups and preamp controls, they allow you to plug directly into an amp, PA system, or recording setup while retaining an acoustic character. They’re ideal for live performance, rehearsal, and home recording, offering volume control and tonal adjustment without relying solely on microphones. Electro-acoustic guitars suit players who want the warmth and responsiveness of an acoustic instrument with the flexibility to play amplified when needed.
