Description

The Gibson Custom 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS is a chunky-necked classic that takes you right back to the golden age of electric guitars. Built with a solid mahogany body and a plain maple top it delivers that trademark Les Paul sustain and resonance with a no-frills vintage look. The narrow/tall frets and long-tenon neck joint give it an authentic feel under the fingers while the Indian rosewood fingerboard adds warmth and smoothness to every note. Dual Custombucker Alnico III pickups capture the rich midrange and sweet top end of the original late-50s PAFs making this a guitar that sings with character straight out of the case. The 50s rounded medium C neck profile offers a full solid grip perfect for players who love that indefinable vintage feel. Finished in a Washed Cherry Sunburst nitro VOS with subtle ageing it looks like a well-loved vintage instrument thats been gigging for decades. Complete with a brown/pink Lifton reissue case certificate of authenticity and historic appointments throughout the 1958 Standard Reissue is as close as it gets to holding a true piece of guitar history.

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Guitar

Explore electric, acoustic and bass guitars across a wide range of playing styles, body shapes and specifications. The most useful differences include scale length, construction, pickup type, neck profile, materials and whether the instrument is intended for amplified, acoustic or hybrid use. Use the narrower guitar categories and feature tags to compare instruments with similar designs rather than relying on appearance alone.

Les Paul

A Les Paul is a solid body electric guitar known for its thick, powerful tone, strong sustain, and classic single-cutaway shape. It is commonly associated with warm, rich sounds and is well suited to rock, blues, jazz, and heavier styles, thanks to its mahogany body, carved top, and typically humbucker-loaded pickups that deliver depth, punch, and smooth overdrive characteristics.
