The Gibson Custom Peter Frampton “Phenix” Inspired Les Paul Custom VOS #CS402927 is a faithful tribute to one of the most iconic guitars in rock history. Based on Framptons legendary 1954 Les Paul Custom this model captures the look feel and tone of the instrument heard on Frampton Comes Alive!. Built with a weight-relieved mahogany body and solid mahogany top it delivers rich sustain and warmth while the VOS finish recreates the subtle aged appearance of a well-preserved vintage original. Loaded with three Custombucker humbuckers it offers a huge range of tones from classic Les Paul power to more nuanced blended sounds. The unique wiring allows the middle pickup to operate independently or alongside the neck and bridge unlocking combinations not found on standard models. Combined with gold hardware Grover tuners and premium Custom Shop craftsmanship its a distinctive instrument built for both collectors and serious players.
