Description

The Hartwood Novella Electro Acoustic Guitar Vintage Sunburst is a vintage-inspired hollowbody for acoustic players and jazz-leaning guitarists. Taking its cues from the hollowbody jazz guitars of the 1930s and 40s the Novella combines traditional styling with a compact 24.75″ scale thats comfortable to get around. Its hollow construction pairs a spruce top with mahogany back and sides while a C-shaped mahogany neck provides a familiar playing feel. A piezo pickup captures the Novellas acoustic character when you need to plug into an amp or PA keeping the setup refreshingly straightforward. And plenty of period-inspired details give it its distinctive identity including a trapeze tailpiece floating bridge button-style tuners body binding and a gloss Vintage Sunburst finish. Its an acoustic-leaning take on the classic jazz-box format made for clean chords melodic playing and laid-back jazz voicings.

They come in a wide range of styles, including steel string and classical designs, each with its own feel and tonal character. Body shape, wood choice, and construction all influence warmth, projection, and balance, making acoustics suitable for everything from gentle fingerstyle to confident strumming. Whether used for songwriting, practice, or performance, acoustic guitars provide a simple, honest connection between the player and the music.

Electro-Acoustic Guitars

Electro-acoustic guitars combine the natural sound and feel of an acoustic guitar with built-in electronics for amplification. Fitted with pickups and preamp controls, they allow you to plug directly into an amp, PA system, or recording setup while retaining an acoustic character. They’re ideal for live performance, rehearsal, and home recording, offering volume control and tonal adjustment without relying solely on microphones. Electro-acoustic guitars suit players who want the warmth and responsiveness of an acoustic instrument with the flexibility to play amplified when needed.
