Description

The Ibanez RG is a modern classic, with its sharp and elegant looks catching the eyes of many hard rockers and metallers since as far back as the late 80s.

The RG652AHM-NGB is a stunning take on this now iconic design. With a pair of super-versatile DiMarzio pickups, Edge double-locking tremolo system and finished in a gorgeous Nebula Green Burst, this is an instrument for the pros.

Construction

The RG has always been a stellar instrument built purely for performance. With a lightweight Ash body, you won't feel strain on your back or shoulders when playing long sets live, and you can expect a full-bodied sound thanks to the wood's balanced tonal qualities.

A bolt-on 5pc Maple/Walnut neck will provide a snappy response with plenty of mid-range projection, perfect for complex riffs or solos that need loads of cut in frantic mixes. The notoriously thin Super Wizard neck profile will make fast passages a breeze to play; fitted with jumbo frets to offer you an awesome feel that will allow brilliant note control. With the Prestige fret edge treatment, your left hand can glide up and down the fretboard super-smoothly.

Electronics and Hardware

A premium instrument should be fitted with premium parts, and Ibanez have done just that. With DiMarzio pickups, you can expect optimal tones and power. The notorious Air Norton and Tone Zone humbucker combination (in the neck and bridge positions respectively) is incredibly versatile, handling high doses of gain for heavier styles whilst also sounding clear and vibrant with clean settings.

A double-locking Edge tremolo system offers incredible tuning stability, no matter how extreme your divebombs or flutters might be. With all hardware appointments finished in Cosmo black, this super-sleek looking guitar will inspire you to just pick it up and play!

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

S Style Electric Guitars

S style electric guitars are known for their comfortable contours, versatile tones, and expressive playability. Typically featuring a double-cutaway body and a vibrato bridge, they offer easy access to higher frets and a naturally balanced feel whether standing or seated. Their pickup configurations often favour clarity and articulation, making them well suited to clean sounds, edge-of-breakup tones, and expressive lead playing, while still handling heavier styles with the right setup. S style guitars are valued for their responsiveness to touch and dynamics, making them a popular choice for players who want an instrument that feels fluid, familiar, and adaptable across a wide range of music.

Tremolo

Tremolo is an effect that creates a rhythmic pulsing by varying the volume of the guitar signal up and down. It can be subtle and smooth or choppy and pronounced, adding movement and texture to clean tones and is commonly associated with classic amps and vintage-style sounds.
