Description

The Ibanez TOD10N Tim Henson Signature “Tree of Death” Nylon-String Electro Acoustic Guitar in Transparent Black Flat is In stock available now for fast UK delivery online for £549 + Delivery. This excellent piece of kit is manufactured by Ibanez and in New condition and comes with a great warranty.

Tim Henson is a modern virtuoso! Lead guitarist and primary songwriter for instrumental prog-rock band Polyphia, Henson has developed a unique style that's instantly recognisable — fusing intricately catchy melodies with a sophisticated percussive approach.

As an artist, Henson is always trying to update, invigorate and reinvent his band's image. He has taken that same approach with the TOD10N, his signature nylon-string electric guitar. The TOD's most striking aesthetic feature is the fingerboard inlay design, which Tim has dubbed as the "Tree of Death". The name and the design are both nods to the iconic Ibanez "Tree of Life" inlay design synonymous with Steve Vai's JEM line of signature models, but with a darker twist!

Key Features

  • Fishman Sonicore Pickup & Ibanez AEQ210TF Preamp — Fishman- Sonicore pickup accurately translates a full guitar sound to whatever amplification system you plug into, while the AEQ210TF preamp provides the extra punch of onboard EQ and the convenience of an easy-to-read digital tuner.
  • Modified FR Hollow Body with Fan Bracing — This thin, compact body with a deep cutaway contributes to the superb playability of this guitar. It has less feedback as there's no soundhole on the body top. Fan bracing, which is commonly used for classical guitars, allows this guitar to have a warm and natural nylon-string sound.
  • Solid Sitka Spruce Top — Provides an enormous frequency range that offers wave after wave of shimmering highs along with tight mids and a full-bodied bass response.
  • Sapele Back & Sides — Sapele back and sides offer a full-bodied and warm mid-range and a bright tone.
  • Side Sound Port — The sound port on the body side allows you to feel and hear the pure acoustic tone of this guitar more clearly and directly.
  • Walnut Fingerboard — Features a well-balanced tonal character from low to high end.
  • Walnut Bridge — Transfers string vibration directly to the body, delivering a natural and warm tone.

About Ibanez

We have new and used Ibanez gear available on our website for fast direct delivery direct to you from across sellers in all areas of the USA & UK.

The Hoshino Gakki company began in 1908 as the musical instrument sales division of the Hoshino Shoten, a bookstore chain. Hoshino Gakki decided in 1935 to make Spanish-style acoustic guitars, at first using the “Ibanez Salvador” brand name in honor of Spanish luthier Salvador Ibáñez, and later simply “Ibanez”.

In the 1970s, the Nisshin Onpa company who owned the Maxon brand name, developed and began selling a series of effect pedals in Japan. Hoshino Gakki licensed these for sale using the name Ibanez outside Japan. These two companies eventually began doing less and less business together until Nisshin Onpa ceased manufacturing the TS-9 reissue for Hoshino Gakki in 2002.
