Description

The Ibanez YY10 Yvette Young Signature Electric Guitar In Slime Green Sparkle is In stock available now for fast UK delivery online for £899 + Delivery. This excellent piece of kit is manufactured by Ibanez and in New condition and comes with a great warranty.

Yvette Young is a leading force among the new wave of 21st Century guitar virtuosos. Fronting math-rock outfit Covet, Young relies on her Ibanez YY10 signature guitar to achieve her distinctive tones and seamless playing fluidity. Finished in a striking slime green sparkle colour, this guitar certainly looks the part too!

Construction

The Ibanez YY10 has a fairly conventional construction, but is based on a formula that is known to work wonderfully. Featuring a medium-weight, balanced-sounding Alder body, this material serves as a great foundation for the sweet-sounding single-coil pickups.

Joining the body is a bolt-on Maple neck carved to Young's specific YY neck profile, which is topped with a Maple fingerboard to ensure a bright and snappy tone. 22 medium-sized frets enable smooth playability, with ergonomic 'Luminescent' side dot inlays making it easy to see fingerboard position marks when performing on dark stages.

Seymour Duncan Five Two Single-Coil Pickups

A trio of Seymour Duncan Five Two pickups give this instrument its vibrant and articulate sound. Featuring a combination of alnico 2 and 5 rod magnets, these single-coils deliver sweet highs and tight lows that are in truly in their element with clean amp settings and light overdrive.

High-Quality Hardware

The Ibanez YY10 comes equipped with a Wilkinson WV6-SB tremolo. Utilising the unique Wilkinson "5+1" knife-edges, this bridge offers the unsurpassed tone transfer of a 6-screw pivot system with the smooth fulcrum action of a 2 pivot set-up.

To keep things extra stable, the YY10 also comes fitted with Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads that achieve incredible tuning stability.

About Ibanez

We have new and used Ibanez gear available on our website for fast direct delivery direct to you from across sellers in all areas of the USA & UK.

The Hoshino Gakki company began in 1908 as the musical instrument sales division of the Hoshino Shoten, a bookstore chain. Hoshino Gakki decided in 1935 to make Spanish-style acoustic guitars, at first using the “Ibanez Salvador” brand name in honor of Spanish luthier Salvador Ibáñez, and later simply “Ibanez”.

In the 1970s, the Nisshin Onpa company who owned the Maxon brand name, developed and began selling a series of effect pedals in Japan. Hoshino Gakki licensed these for sale using the name Ibanez outside Japan. These two companies eventually began doing less and less business together until Nisshin Onpa ceased manufacturing the TS-9 reissue for Hoshino Gakki in 2002.
