JHS are known for being perfectionists, and they often tweak and refine their designs so that they are the best they can possibly be. The Sweet Tea V3 is a product of that ethos, and it has undergone a number of big changes to satisfy those that care about tone!

2 Pedals In 1:

The previous Sweet Tea Overdrive provided two distinct OD flavours in one enclosure, and this aspect of the design has remained the same. However, on the right side you now have the circuitry from the acclaimed Moonshine V2 overdrive rather than that from the discontinued JHS-808. The Moonshine is loved for its gnarly, gritty tone; essentially being a highly modified version of that famous green stomp box we all know and love. Using the most recent iteration of the Moonshine, the addition of the “Clean” control lets you blend your unaffected signal with the distorted grit of the Moonshine for some SRV-style tones!

The right side now uses the circuitry from the Angry Charlie V3. This renowned “amp-in-a-box” style distortion turns any amplifier into a saturated JCM-800-esque fire breather, delivering that iconic brown sound easily. Now with dedicated Bass, Middle and Treble controls, you get all the flexibility of an amp channel EQ at your feet.

Order Switching:

JHS are known for their order-switching toggle, featured on a range of their pedals. With this switch you can choose the order of the two pedal circuits, so if you want to boost your signal with the Moonshine and layer on some filth from the Angry Charlie afterwards, no problem!

Or maybe you like running the TS-style OD after your distortion, to tighten up your tone and get more tube-like saturation – perfect for leads.

Here’s what JHS say about the Sweet Tea V3:

The Sweet Tea V3 is JHS Pedals’ “Everything medium-to-high gain 2-in-1” pedal and it covers all the bases from light breakup, blues, rock, heavy grind and more.

The Sweet Tea V3 is for anyone who wants a versatile overdrive/distortion that covers all the bases you need plus more. You’ll find medium-to-high gain tones and the ability to stack for the perfect way to melt faces.

The right side is the brand new Moonshine V2 which is a unique and massively tweaked version of the most famous overdrive ever created housed in a little green enclosure. The Moonshine V2 has the classic mid-heavy tones that you’d expect but with more gain, volume, and tones available than you ever thought possible. The Moonshine V2 has the same core tone as the Moonshine Version 1 but we have added a new “Clean” knob to blend in the perfect amount of clean signal with your overdrive signal.

On the left side is the newest version of the Angry Charlie which is the Angry Charlie V3, one of JHS Pedals’ most popular pedals of the last few years. High gain JCM 800 type “Brown” sound tone that we believe is the most accurate Marshall tone ever put in a. Please read more for images, details and to place an order.
