Here is what Martin say about the Martin X-Series Remastered D-X1E HPL Acoustic Guitar with Koa Top:

"The remastered X Series is made to play. The acoustic electric D-X1E features the iconic Dreadnought body shape, now available in two eye-catching high-pressure laminate (HPL) patterns—koa or mahogany. The HPL top, back, and sides give you durability and classic Martin style, while playability enhancements include a thinner fingerboard with a gently beveled comfort edge and refined string spacing, and a modernized bridge contour for a smooth and comfortable playing experience. Its signature size is loud and projective with strong bass, lending itself to any genre and experience level. The D-X1E also comes with satin tuners and Martin E-1 electronics, featuring a builtin chromatic tuner and volume, tone, and phase controls, letting you plug in and play at any volume. All X Series models come with a softshell case."
