Darkglass Power with Integrated Octave At the heart of the DarkRay II is a custom Darkglass two-band active preamp with two distinct distortion circuits, Alpha and Omega. On top of this, Music Man have added a fully integrated octave section with selectable octave up or octave down, giving you everything from subtle thickening to full-on synth bass. A three-way lever switch lets you choose preamp only, preamp plus octave, or preamp plus octave and distortion, so you can move between foundational tones and huge, harmonically rich textures in an instant.
