The parlour-shaped P20E Tonare is a small body acoustic capable of sweet, singing highs with the build quality of renowned PRS electric guitars.

Tonare Parlour Shape

The parlour body shape is rooted in 19th century guitar building, back when louder, bassy volume and projection were not as highly demanded in live performance. The size is perfect for delicate fingerpicking and produces a pronounced, clear tone.

With the brilliant Fishman GT1 piezo pickup able to connect the P20E to a PA system, you’ve got the best of both worlds. Playing plugged or unplugged grants you rich clarity – unlike a larger acoustic’s heavier low-end.

Sound

The P20E is made of an all-Mahogany, non-cutaway body and neck to make up for the lack of size. This warm-sounding tonewood introduces a satisfying undertone to what is otherwise a naturally treble-laden voicing.

Construction

As you might expect from PRS, you still get the iconic bird inlays even in their acoustic selection. The short 24.72 inch scale length neck allows for quick jumps across the luxurious ebony fingerboard. It’s matched with a beautifully contoured ebony bridge granting comfortable picking hand placement.

Another show of superb PRS build quality is the hybrid X bracing, which ensures seamless construction and an even distribution of projection and vibrations across the body.
