The Sire Marcus Miller Z3 5 String Bass is a modern five-string designed to combine familiar bass character with flexible active tone shaping. Its mahogany body features a forearm contour and defined lower cutaway creating a distinctive shape. A hard maple C-shaped neck and matching hard maple Edgeless fingerboard provide a smooth comfortable playing surface with rolled fretboard edges helping the neck feel naturally broken-in from the outset. A 34-inch scale and 22 medium-jumbo frets complete a straightforward player-focused setup. At the heart of the Z3 is a Sire Standard MM pickup delivering the powerful humbucker-style foundation. The Marcus Heritage-3 active preamp provides treble middle and bass controls allowing you to shape the instrument from classic tones through to more contemporary voices while adding satisfying low-end depth. A Sire Standard MM bridge provides 17.5mm string spacing while standard open-gear tuners and a bone nut complete the practical hardware setup. Finished with chrome hardware and a black pickguard the Z3 offers versatile performance with a bold modern appearance.
