Description

The Taylor Jacob Collier Academy 22e 5-String brings Jacobs distinctive DAEAD tuning to a compact player-friendly electro-acoustic. Designed to spark new ideas at any skill level this Grand Concert model uses a solid walnut top paired with layered walnut back and sides offering a warm woody midrange with bright treble detail and a grounded low end. Its a tonal match made for the harmonic twists and open voicings that five-string tuning encourages giving you a sound that feels rich expressive and unmistakably different from a standard six-string. Comfort is front and centre thanks to the Academy Series built-in beveled armrest giving your strumming arm a smooth resting point that makes long sessions feel natural. The slender neck keeps everything easy to play whether youre exploring new chord shapes or leaning into expressive fingerstyle. Subtle aesthetic touches include a Baltic birch rosette 4mm dot inlays and a clean matte finish. Equipped with a Fishman Presys VT Sonitone system for clear organic amplified tone the Academy 22e 5-String is ready for practice performance and songwriting. A padded gig bag is included for safe transport.
