Description

The Vox Valvetronix VT40X 10″ 40W Combo Amplifier is In stock available now for fast UK delivery online for £219 + Delivery. This excellent piece of kit is manufactured by Vox and in New condition and comes with a great warranty.

Vox’s Valvetronix range of amplifiers changed what the world thought of modelling amps. By using valve emulating technology and mixing it together with real analogue wizardry these amplifiers managed to deliver powerful tones in a small practice format. The VT40X and the rest of this new generation of Valvetronix amps improve the formula with an all new modelling engine and in depth editing tools.

Valve, Analogue and Digital

This amp manages to be all three at once. The preamp circuit is entirely digital with an in depth modelling engine that gives you ultimate control over the sound. The poweramp on the other hand mixes valve, digital and analogue with a single valve, digital controls and all analogue circuitry underneath. Taking advantage of every type of circuit this amp really delivers way above its price point.

This also gives you a few unique opertunites not found on other amps. This includes a 1 button bias switch on the front panel that will set how hard you are hitting the valve in cool mode you get less gain and a more rounded tone, chuck it in hot mode and you get a bit more output and a bit more punch. You also have the ability to switch between the tone of a class A or class A/B on the fly for a wider range of tonal options.

So Many Options

When you plug in the amp for the first time you can set up your own range of tones from the 11 amp models and 12 effects on the top panel. No extra software required just plug in and get playing straight out of the box. If you want to make sure your tone is yours though you can set up the three user amps up through the included Tone Room Editor software.

Because Vox have gone in so deep and have modelled amplifiers down to a component level you can go in and modify any of these setups to create your own amp. Want a British rock tone with some extra low end? No problem just jump in to the editor and get building. Not sure what you are after? Jump in to the Vox Librarian program and you can grab amps made by others in the Tone Room Editor.

Improved DSP

Because this is a digital amplifier the quality of the tone is kind of reliant on the DSP. This is a technology that has moved a lot in the last few years so Vox have managed to drastically improve the quality of this amplifier over previous generations without heavily increasing the price. If you liked the sound of the Vox Valvetronix amps before this one only improves on them.

Here’s what Vox say about the Valvetronix VT40X

The latest VT20X/VT40X/VT100X features a brand new modeling engine and sounds even better than ever! By using VET (Virtual Element Technology), which is based on an analysis of the components and amp circuits themselves, VTX amplifiers produce the most accurate and realistic amplifier sounds to date. These new amplifiers also feature a multistage Valvetronix tube. Please read more for images, details and to place an order.
