Tuned one octave below standard guitar (E1-E3) the 638 sits between a baritone and a Bass VI offering familiar six-string tuning with a much deeper voice. This hybrid setup makes it ideal for downtuned rock metal or experimental players looking to blur the lines between guitar and bass. A satin-finished maple neck with a C-profile extra jumbo frets and a stable Tune-O-Matic bridge ensures easy playability and accurate intonation across the entire fretboard. Dual ceramic humbuckers deliver a focused powerful tone while simple volume and tone controls keep things streamlined. The 30″ scale and .014-.068 string set keep tension tight and notes clear even in extreme tunings.
