Description
The Fender Custom Shop 64 Stratocaster Journeyman RW Faded Aged Daphne Blue captures the character of a well-maintained mid-60s Strat with precise Custom Shop craftsmanship. Built from a two-piece alder body and finished in Faded Aged Daphne Blue lacquer the guitar reflects the subtle wear of a vintage instrument that has been played regularly and carefully looked after. The Journeyman relic treatment introduces light ageing across the finish and hardware preserving a clean overall appearance while adding authentic vintage character. The neck is constructed from quarter-sawn maple and paired with a round-laminated AAA rosewood fingerboard measuring approximately 9 mm thick. A 63 Strat Style C profile 9.5″ radius and narrow tall 6105 fret wire provide a comfortable playing feel with vintage-inspired response. Electronics are handled by hand-wound Fat 64 pickups with a reverse-wound middle pickup for hum-cancelling in positions two and four. Combined with Strat Vintage Modified Wiring #2 featuring a tone saver mod to preserve your tone as you roll off the volume this Custom Shop build delivers classic Strat tone with clarity and dynamic response.
