The Fender Custom Shop 60 Telecaster Journeyman RW Natural Blonde recreates the feel of a well-preserved early-60s Tele with precise Custom Shop craftsmanship. Built from a two-piece ash body and finished in Natural Blonde lacquer the instrument highlights the natural grain of the wood beneath the finish. A Journeyman relic treatment adds subtle ageing across the body along with heavy finish checking recreating the character of a guitar that has been played regularly but carefully maintained over time. The neck is carved from riftsawn maple and paired with a AAA rosewood slab fingerboard measuring 9 mm thick. A 60 Style Oval C profile 9.5″ radius and narrow tall 6105 fret wire provide a comfortable playing feel while preserving the character of early 60s Tele necks. Electronics are handled by hand-wound Texas Special Tele pickups paired with Fat 50s Tele wiring and controls. Combined with vintage-style hardware and a parchment pickguard this Custom Shop build delivers the familiar clarity response and punch associated with classic Telecaster tone.
