The EarthQuaker Devices ZEQD-Pre Tube Preamp is an all-analog amplifier solution designed to deliver genuine tube character in a compact pedalboard-friendly format. Created in collaboration with Dr. Z Amplification it combines EarthQuaker Devices forward-thinking design with decades of tube amp expertise. At its core is an EF86 pentode tube known for its hi-fi clarity dynamic response and expressive feel. Built to live at the end of your signal chain the ZEQD-Pre adds warmth depth and harmonic richness to anything you run through it. A passive three-band EQ integrated analog cabinet simulation balanced XLR output and professional headphone out make it equally suited to recording silent practice and live performance. With no menus IRs or digital processing its a simple musical all-analog alternative to modern amp modelling.
