The TIME SHADOWS II is a subharmonic multi-delay resonator pedal. What this means is you are able to dial in multiple delays at the same time, while blending in fat sub-lows with your clean signal, with a controllable resonator on top of it.

This pedal is the V2 of the TIME SHADOWS, and now comes with a 3rd mode, 6 preset slots, 3 delay modes which are all controllable with the Time, Span & Filter controls.

Operate in two different ways! In live mode, the pedal will operate exactly where the controls are set, any changes will have no effect on the presets unless saved or use preset mode which ignores all other settings and only delivers your saved masterpeices.

Key Features

  • 6 Preset Slots – 6 easily user-editable and accessible preset slots to save your favourite creations.
  • 3 Delay Modes – Dial in multi-dimensional delay with ease, choosing anything between sub-octave filter, dual delay or a multi-delay which regenerates.
  • Shape Your Delay – Use the Time, Span, and Filter knobs dial in the sound in each of the 3 modes.

Switch Between Jamie Stillman & Oliver Ackermann, Or Fuse Them?

With the switch to the left Time Shadow’s controls are completely the brainchild of EarthQuaker Devices resident genius Jamie Stillman. Flip the switch to the right, and you enter the head of the madman Oliver Ackermann from Death By Audio. Place the switch in the middle and traverse space and time, and create your own dimension.

*Your Own Dimension is on a first come, first served basis, terms and conditions apply*

3 Different Delays !¡

Choose from the EQD mode which is an envelope-controlled sub-octave filter delay, the appropriately named “!¡” mode which is a dual delay where each repeat simultaneously shifts up and down with each regeneration or the DBA mode which is a multi-delay regenerating filter.

The EarthQuaker Side

Imagine a pitch-morphed fuzz delay filter with so much attitude that you actually get intimidated. It takes the input signal, blows it out with the power of digital distortion, blends it with a polyphonic sub-octave, feeds it into a delay, then throws it into a highly resonant envelope-controlled lowpass filter. Simple!

Or, the Death By Audio Side?

The Death By Audio side is a multi-delay filter remorphinator that goes from icy shimmers to cosmic space caves of bouncing repeats.

Specifications

  • Silent soft-touch relay-based switching with True Bypass
  • Flexi-Switch Technology for latching and momentary operation
  • EXP jack for user-assignable expression pedal control over Range, Resonance or Filter controls
  • Powered by regular 9 V DC PSU (centre -, 2,1 mm, 75 mA current draw)

Delay

Delay is an effect that records the guitar signal and plays it back after a short period of time, creating an echo or repeat. By adjusting the time, feedback, and level, delay can add subtle depth and space or produce rhythmic, expressive repeats that enhance lead lines, ambient textures, and overall atmosphere.
