Description

Legendary Toto guitarist Steve Lukather has teamed up with one of Germany’s most highly regarded pedal designers to hand craft the SL-OD Deluxe: the ultimate boost, distortion and overdrive combo pedal brimming with his crisp signature sound and boasting meticulous tonal control. Ultimate versatile gain-laden tones The SL-OD is an insanely versatile pedal with a unique voice to set you apart from the large crowd of overdriven tones. The completely independent effects are ideal for live performance thanks to quick sonic flexibility, simple controls schemes and rock-solid build quality. The Locked switch lets you seamlessly switch between the sounds of the different circuits, turning one off as the other turns on. You’ve also got the choice to place the boost at the beginning or end of the signal chain, changing whether the circuit acts as a clean boost or pushes the gain even harder. Boost, drive and distortion designed with Steve Lukather The overdrive section in the SL-OD ranges from low-gain breakup to fiery high gain swagger. A simple Gain switch bumps up the heat for a thicker sound, while the Fat switch blooms out the low-end. The distortion brings sharper, refined aggression, strategically placed after the overdrive to allow you to load up a little extra kick by activating both at the same time. The Tight switch enhances it even further to squeeze the low-end for punchy attack. Both overdrive and distortion have independent drive, level and tone to tweak your perfect sound, and the boost has a quick +20db switch to get the party started.Key Features Official Steve Lukather overdrive pedal Sound design by Steve Lukather and Uli Rodenberg Three indepedent boost, overdrive and distortion circuits Each with their own tone, level and gain settings Fat and tight switches to customise your unique voicings SpecificationsLOW – HIGH GAIN Overdrive Jewel LED Blue FAT Boost (Preset Toggle switch) GAIN Boost (Preset Toggle switch) Controls: Level, Tone, Drive DISTORTION Jewel LED Red Tight Mode (Preset Toggle switch) Controls: Level, Tone, Drive BOOST Jewel LED Green FAT Boost (Preset Toggle switch) +20 dB Level Boost (Preset Toggle switch) Dynamic, musical level boost Almost exciter-like response Controls: Level, Tone LOCKED Mode Locks the OVERDRIVE and DISTORTION sound together Seamless switching between OVERDRIVE and DISTORTION sound with a single footstep. More info about this Product

Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.

Overdrive Pedals

Overdrive uses soft or moderate clipping to add harmonics and compression while retaining more of the original note shape than heavy distortion. Some circuits emphasise the midrange and trim bass before clipping; others remain broad, transparent or amplifier-like. Gain, clipping arrangement, headroom and tone filtering decide whether it supplies a light edge, a saturated drive sound or extra push into another gain stage.

Guitar Pedal

Guitar pedals alter, route, control or support an instrument signal from the floor. The tag covers individual effects, multi-effects, switching, tuning, looping, amplification and pedalboard utilities. The product category and additional effect tags identify the specific job each pedal performs.

Overdrive

Overdrive pedals add warmth, grit, and natural compression to your tone, capturing the feel of a pushed tube amp. They respond dynamically to your playing, offering everything from a light bluesy crunch to full, saturated rock tones. Perfect for boosting solos or shaping your core sound, an overdrive pedal brings character and life to any setup. Whether you prefer vintage smoothness or modern bite, these pedals are essential for players who want expressive, touch-sensitive drive with plenty of personality.
