Description

The Cort Space 5 SE is a modern headless bass inspired by Corts original Space instruments from the 1980s. Its compact body and neck draw on the flagship Artisan Bass Series with deeper bolder contours and cutaways adapted for the headless format. A mahogany body with a roasted maple neck and maple fingerboard offers a solid and reliable construction while the 34-inch scale C-shaped neck and 24 frets with zero fret provide the foundations for its distinctive design. Bartolini MK-1 pickups provide punchy warm mids alongside transparent brilliant highs complemented by an active three-band EQ preamp for low mid and high frequency adjustment. Specially designed headless hardware combines the tuners with individual bridge units helping keep the instrument light and compact while providing tuning and playing stability. A spoke nut Hotrod truss rod allows precise neck bow adjustment while the zero fret makes changing string gauges more straightforward without requiring the nut to be resized or replaced.

Bass Guitars

Bass guitars form the backbone of a band’s sound, sitting between rhythm and harmony to give music depth, weight, and movement. Available in electric and acoustic forms, they focus on delivering strong, controlled low frequencies while remaining clear and responsive to playing dynamics. Factors like scale length, string type, and pickup design all influence tone and feel, allowing bass guitars to suit a wide range of styles and techniques. Whether laying down solid grooves or exploring more melodic lines, a good bass guitar anchors the music and brings everything together.
