Description

The Martin 000-28EC Eric Clapton is a premium signature acoustic guitar inspired by the instrument Clapton played during his legendary MTV Unplugged performance. Built around Martins comfortable 000 14-fret body shape it combines a solid Sitka spruce top with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides to produce a rich balanced and versatile acoustic voice. Scalloped X-bracing enhances its responsive character allowing individual notes to ring out clearly during fingerstyle passages while providing plenty of depth for expressive strumming. Designed with Claptons playing preferences in mind the 000-28EC features a genuine mahogany neck with a Modified V profile offering a comfortable grip and traditional feel. Its shorter 24.9″ scale length and 1 3/4″ nut width provide a relaxed string response and comfortable spacing for fingerpicking. An ebony fingerboard features distinctive abalone inlays and Claptons signature while fine herringbone detailing reinforces its classic appearance. Nickel open-gear tuners a compensated bone saddle and an included ply hardshell case complete this exceptional signature instrument.
