Description

100 watts of organic, valve-driven British rock tone can be attained with the long-awaited Victory Super Sheriff amp head. Designed to take over from the Sheriff 44, this beast has all of the power and gain you could ever need — simple in design, but with so much versatility!

The Victory Super Sheriff 100's dedicated 'Vintage' channel has two gain modes (clean and crunch), both of which are voiced to capture that late '60s and early '70s blues-rock sound. The 'Hot Rod' channel is where you'll discover the thicker, heavier high-gain tones that transformed rock and metal in the late '70s and early 1980s. This also offers two modes, with the second one adding even more gain!

For even more sonic flexibility, there are 'Presence Shift' and 'Depth Focus' switches that let you dial-in the right amount of top-end and bottom-end, and for extra control, there is a rotary knob for the bass focus on the rear of the amp. The Victory Super Sheriff VS100 is housed in a classic deluxe wooden sleeve, and as with all Victory products, is designed and hand-built in England.

Key Features

  • 2 Channels & 2 Modes — Both channels have two footswitchable modes. The 'Vintage' channel has clean and crunch voices based on the nostalgic early rock and blues sounds of the '60s, while the 'Hot Rod' channel takes inspiration from the modified- high-gain amps that emerged in the late '70s and early '80s. Both of the modes for this channel have a lot of gain on tap, but the second voice is better suited for lead sounds.
  • Simple, Powerful EQ — There's plenty of tone-sculpting potential with the Treble, Middle and Bass controls, plus a presence knob that works in the power section to set the overall bite just the way you like it!
  • Presence Switch — Located on the front panel of the amp, this switch influences the brightness of the presence control. Position two will sound slightly brighter as it reduces negative feedback in the higher frequencies.
  • Depth Focus — This is much more than a bass EQ. It works in the power section of the amp, offering either a tighter and more focused bottom-end, or conversely, a looser and more resonant timbre depending on your needs and tastes. The Sheriff 100 adds extra controllability with a rotary knob on the back panel.
  • High & Low Power Modes — 100 watts in high power mode (for big venues and outdoor shows), and 35 watts in low power mode (for smaller gigs, or home/studio use).
  • Master Volume Design — There are two master volume controls, one for each channel and footswitchable. The master volume assign function (on the back) can switch the volume controls to be set globally across the channels, or to their original Vintage/Hot Rod channels.
  • Series Effects Loop — Available for fans of ambient and modulation pedals! It's completely removed from the circuit when bypassed.
  • External Bias Test Points — No need to fiddle about inside when you change output valves. The Sheriff 100 is fitted with EL34s as standard, but can be biased to use 6L6s too, along with a range of other valves such as: KT66, KT77, 6CA7, 5881, etc.

Amp Heads

An amp head contains the core tone and power of a guitar amplifier without the built-in speakers, allowing you to pair it with the cabinet of your choice. This setup offers greater flexibility over sound and volume, as different speaker cabinets can dramatically change the feel and character of the amp. Amp heads are available in valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, ranging from low-wattage studio models to high-powered touring rigs. They’re ideal for players who want a modular setup, precise control over their tone, and the ability to adapt their rig to different venues, cabinets, or recording situations.
