The Sire V7 Alder-5 New Gen is a modern, versatile five-string bass that refines Sire’s acclaimed V7 formula for even better playability and control. With its updated neck profile, simplified active/passive preamp and stainless steel frets, this Natural-finished V7 Alder-5 is built to deliver reliable performance, slick feel and a wide palette of tones for stage, studio and everything in between.
Taking feedback from the original V7 series, Sire have streamlined the electronics and reworked the neck to make this New Gen model even more comfortable and intuitive. Whether you are laying down tight grooves, exploring extended-range lines on the low B, or switching between active and passive sounds mid-set, the V7 Alder-5 New Gen keeps things effortless and musical.
At the heart of the V7 Alder-5 is Sire’s renowned preamp, now with a cleaner four-knob layout and a push/pull active/passive switch for instant tonal flexibility. Combined with stainless steel frets and Sire’s superb rolled fingerboard edges, you get a bass that feels fast and precise under the fingers, while offering enough tonal range to cover funk, jazz, pop, rock and more.

New Gen Neck for Easier Playing
The updated neck on the V7 Alder-5 New Gen has been carefully tweaked for a smoother, more comfortable feel across all five strings.
