Original Woods
Fender’s original wood combination of an Ash body paired with a Maple neck. The Ash provides a sweet and resonant, well-balanced guitar tone which is brilliantly complemented by the brightness and responsiveness of the maple neck.
‘55 Stratocaster Pickups
Fender’s most faithful recreations of the original pickups, which helped put the Stratocaster on the map! Wound in-house by the Fender Custom Shop, these pickups authentically reproduce the esteemed vintage Strat tones that can be heard on countless records. Made using hand-bevelled Alnico III magnets with a vintage correct stagger, Formvar wire, along with black fibre bobbins and cloth pull-back wire, these pickups produce the desirable bell-like glassy chime and rich sustain of the originals.

Founded in 1987, the Custom Shop was established to take Fender’s manufacturing back to its roots with smaller production numbers and higher quality. Famed for pushing Leo’s designs to their absolute limits, the Custom Shop is the benchmark to which all other Fender electric guitars are compared to!Key Features
Time Capsule – Fender’s Time Capsule portrays a vintage instrument in near-new condition. There is no real ageing, but its NOS Lacquer has lost some of its sheen, and some parts of the metal hardware show slight oxidation.
Compound Radius – With its rounder 7.25’’ radius by the nut and flatter 9.5’’ radius from the 12th fret, this ’55 Strat offers maximum comfort up and down the neck.
Modern V – The Modern V neck profile offers a thinner variation of Fender’s classic V-shaped neck profile. The perfect choice for players who demand a versatile ergonomic neck profile that still comfortably hugs the hand.
