Ibanez's RG631ALF-BCM is one of the coolest entries to the Axion Label series thus far. Boasting a unique, colour-changing Blue Chameleon livery — other key appointments include Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers, Gotoh locking tuners, a Gibraltar hardtail bridge, Schaller S-Locks strap pins, hard-wearing 'Sub Zero'-treated frets and a thin 'Nitro Wizard' multi-piece neck.

Contemporary Construction

Ibanez's flagship RG model has always been regarded as a premium guitar built solely for shredders. The RG631ALF-BCM perfectly fits that mould, with a stealthily-sharp body shape featuring deep cutaways that allow for effortless access to all 24 frets. Crafted from Nyatoh, this material is often compared with Mahogany and promises plenty of depth in the mid-range — a suitable host for the potent Fishman pickups.

Nitro Wizard Neck

The RG631ALF-BCM's bolt-on 5-piece Panga Panga/Walnut neck gives the guitar rigidity and sustain with plenty of top-end articulation — perfect for complex riffs or solos that need to cut through in a mix! The super-slender 'Nitro Wizard' neck shape makes fast passages a breeze to play too, while the luxurious Macassar Ebony fingerboard comes fitted with wide/tall jumbo frets that offer you maximum control under the fingers.

Fishman Fluence Modern Pickups

This elegant instrument is powered by a pair of high-output Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers. Capable of handling copious amounts of gain, these popular pickups provide an aggressive tone and a powerful attack without excess noise. But they're far from being one-trick ponies. That’s because these versatile pickups can dish out crisp and luscious tones with clean settings, especially when you use the voicing switch to change from a crushing contemporary sound to a softer and more fluid timbre.
