Description

Ibanez may mainly be known for making dream guitars for shredders but they also make some of the worlds best hollow and semi hollow guitars. This level of quality is what drew in jazz legend George Benson to the brand who has for years had a series of signature guitars ranging from the prestige to the affordable. Now the pinnacle is here with this stunning GB10 in Black.

Key Features

  • GB Special Pickups – GB special pickups are installed and float off the body, eliminating feedback and enabling a superbly warm jazz sound.
  • Half-Bone/Half Brass Nut – Half-Bone/Half-Brass Nut provides well-balanced tone.
  • Ebony Fretboard – Ebony produces tight lows and mid range with a strong attack in the high end and features a quick response and rich sustain.

Made In Japan

If you have played any Ibanez guitar you know that every guitar coming out with an Ibanez badge is going to be made very well. So when you see one with the ‘made in Japan’ markings like this GB10 you know that you are in for a very special treat. Working with only the best tools and luthiers in the area Ibanez’s Japan factory is synonymous with accuracy and consistency when it comes to their guitars.

Beautiful Materials

As this is one of the higher end models in the George Benson line it has to use only the best parts available. So the body is made out of a Spruce top with Maple back and sides like the traditional jazz box guitars we all love. March this up with the 3 piece maple set neck that has been topped with a wonderful piece of bound Ebony for the fretboard finished with Acrylic and Abalone inlays.

Special Hardware

George Benson is a man who like his tones as smooth as they come. When it came to fitting out this beast of a guitar Ibanez wanted to capture his exact tone in this guitar so they went for a set of floating GB special pickups for next to no feedback and a large, full sounding clean tone that will suit any jazz style.
