Description

Turn heads and melt faces with the Ibanez XPT420DX! Its aggressive X (Xiphos) body shape is a go-to for extreme metal players, while the ultra-slim Wizard III neck, high-output pickups and Edge-Zero II tremolo give you everything you need for lightning-fast riffs, soaring leads and jaw-dropping dive bombs.

Wizard III neck

Ibanez’s legendary Wizard neck is all about speed and comfort. Super-thin and flat, it gives you fast playability across a full two-octave, 24-fret fingerboard. And thanks to its 5-piece Maple/Walnut construction, this neck is as tough as it is sleek.

Quantum pickups

These Ibanez-designed pickups deliver a lightning-fast response for tight low-end riffs and articulate note definition, while serving up a rich midrange and cutting highs for lead work.

Edge-Zero II tremolo

Dive bombs, flutters and everything in between — without the tuning headaches. The Edge-Zero II bridge offers a low-profile design for comfort and a stud lock system for rock-solid stability.

Key Features

  • Neck-through design: With the neck running straight through the body, you get incredible sustain and effortless access to the highest frets. The Okoume wings add brightness for a tone that punches through the mix.
  • Jumbo frets: Go big or go home! Jumbo frets make bends and vibrato effortless, so you can inject attitude and expression into every lick.
  • Quantum humbuckers: This set responds instantly to your picking dynamics, capturing rapid-fire runs with crystal clarity.
  • Edge-Zero II tremolo: Perfect for dive-bombs, squeals and all-out shred antics.
  • Included gig bag: Comes with a gig bag designed to fit that wild Xiphos shape like a glove.
